grub-installer software package provides Install GRUB on a hard disk, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install grub-installer
grub-installer is installed in your system.
Make ensure the grub-installer package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep grub-installer *
You will get with grub-installer package name, version, architecture and description in a table
